Cons..Definitely the Cons

If you've spent 5 minutes talking to me about where I live you know how much I love it here. I can go on and on about the beauties of this place and it's people.

This post is going to be quite the opposite. I'll give the exact reasons I don't like my location(since it affected me this morning and I'm still feeling the aftermath.)

My house is exactly 3 min and 49 seconds away from Krispy Kreme. Isn't that horrid?! Only 3.49 minutes to entice you to get a free HOT donut. Let me explain why this is bothering me so.

This morning we woke up drastically late for school. PJ had been pleading for donuts and I thought with Paul needing to rest a bit longer (he's been sick) I'd could get kids dressed, brushed and lunches made in 20 min flat. This would leave us time to pour some milk, grab some donuts and eat on the way to school. Well, the kids didn't even finish their donuts before they started complaining of stomach aches. :( I only at 1 donut on the way home myself. As soon as I got home I went into a sugar coma on the couch and couldn't keep my eyes open! I guess that's what happens when you don't eat a lot of fried breads completely coated in sugary (yet evil) goodness.

Of course there are other cons about my exact location. BK, McD, Sonic, Subway and a gazillion more food chains that are even closer than the Krispy Kreme tempting me to be lazy! (I won't even go into all the restaurants like Applebee's and Macaroni Grill) I think a few of the places from the first 2 months we lived here even knew us by name but we've repented and seen the error of our ways. Well, for the most part. ;) We still have just one restaurant that knows us by name but they are a good 20 minutes away. (Kanpai in North Little Rock. I HIGHLY recommend them if you like sushi, hibachi grills and are anywhere in the vicinity.)

*EDIT* Just to clarify part of the repenting process has been making 2 week meal plans. I cant have you guys thinking I'm a "eating out" slush/junkie still. I've reformed! I've reformed!

Okay, if my Krispy Kreme was 3 minutes and 49 seconds away, I don't know if I could stay away. I'm an addict so I need the 10 minute drive for me to rashin out my gas on how often I go. Sad, but the first step is admitting it. HA HA.

ha ha, i can't afford to eat out, and I'm too stingy for it, and well, we just don't eat fast food- your post is too funny though! I wish they had some decent restaurants here (did you know sugar shuts down things in your body... bad stuff)
