Panic Mode!

Ever since Christmas Paul and I have been planning to take the family to Bedtime Stories. On Thursday I was checking the movie times when I noticed there was only one theater left that was showing Twilight. With no release date officially out yet for the DVD/Blue Ray I went into panic mode. I called Paul with a bunch of "what if's" (which he thought was hilarious). I realized all the times I went to it I'd kind of taken it for granted so I decided even after I thought I was done to go just one more time. (My friend Kristin did point out to me that it'll be coming out in the $1 theater soon but that's a whole 25 minute drive from here so it's just not the same! ;) ) Honestly this was my favorite time watching it. There's nothing like watching a movie on the big screen so I watched every moment meticulously as if it were my last chance and enjoyed every single moment.

To change gears Paul's company was officially changed from Alltel to Verizon on Friday. We are still hanging around waiting to find out whether they are keeping his department or not. Verizon CEO's have announced to the press that out of the 2,700 employees here at this campus only 100 will remain and that includes Verizon bringing in their own management. When I was pulling into his parking lot Friday morning there was already a noticeable amount of empty parking spaces and with the economy the way it is it's pretty frightening to think of what could happen with all of them.

That's as exciting as it gets for us lately. PJ's acing his homework and is constantly having us laugh out loud with hysterical humor. This is the latest example besides his usual everyday humor that we love! He was writing this creative story for class. The first line on his page is, "I woke up combing my mustache...".

Elie is still really big into pretending and it's always animals. I love that she's so creative but I am not much of a pretending kinda girl. Luckily Emma is and she is happy to go along and do whatever her big sister does.

Emma is 2. Uhm...I am grateful for the patience she is teaching me. (I said that believably, right?) She does have her cute moments when she makes up funny things. For example, this week we were driving somewhere when PJ was doing the joke with Emma of, "Guess what?" Emma responds with "What?" and PJ says "Chicken bum!" (It's not as funny as saying butt but that's a word we don't use in our house.) So PJ tried to get her say the question. When it came to the punch line PJ told her to say "Chicken bum" but instead she said, "Chicken buttons!" We laughed hard to the point of tears.
