Busy Saturday

Our ward has this awesome tradition of having Conference at the chapel. We have catered food brought in on Saturday between the sessions then Sunday we do potluck. I love it. Trust me when I say it's never been easy with kids going but the Spirit is strong and the unity with the members is wonderful.

This afternoon we went to a wedding/reception. Paul's boss' daughter was getting married and we were honored with an invite. PJ & Elie were very excited for the event because; A: they adore Larry (Paul’s boss) and B: Elie really became obsessed for 2 weeks about tasting a wedding cake. (I have no explanation or guess for her thought process.)
For me the cutest thing was watching Emma's obsession of where "The Princess"(aka Lisa the bride) was the entire time. For the first hour of the reception she was just in awe of her and wanted to watch her eat or wave "hi" umpteen times. I’d like to say that if she wasn’t 2 years old I’d be worried about her creepy stalker tendencies appearing tonight.

(If you click on the collage above it’ll take you to a website to see the pictures more clearly.)

Once the music started there was no keeping the kids off the dance floor. Oh wait…I take that back. We did get them to stop once for some (Oh so divine) wedding cake but that lasted a whole 3 minutes before they jumped up and ran back out to the dance floor to go have some more fun. All in all the 5 of us had such a nice time and feel blessed to be enclosed in their special circle of friends for the night.

I LOVE the dancing pictures!!! Little dancing kiddos at a wedding reception is always the hightlight for me! And Emma with the little boy is SO CUTE!!!!! :0) Brooklin and Emma share their obsession with brides. It's all about the dress for her. This is where it all starts. They're already planning their big day.... Boys are so far behind. HA HA.
